Manitoba Anthropology Students' Conference 2019
Details
The University of Manitoba’s Anthropology Students’ Association is excited to announce that submissions are open for our student led conference, titled MASC: The Future of Anthropology, taking place March 8th and 9th, 2019 at the University of Manitoba, Fort Garry campus. Submissions are open to anyone at the undergraduate or graduate level with an interest in Anthropology, as well as professors who wish to develop panels with students.
MASC aims to draw attention to all subfields of anthropology, so the theme of the conference is broad. Our Keynote Speakers will be Dr. Emily Holland, bioarchaeologist and forensic anthropologist at Brandon University, and Dr. Maureen Matthews, curator of cultural anthropology at the Manitoba Museum. The conference will begin Friday night at 6 pm on March 8th and be completed by Saturday evening.
If you have plans to continue your formal academic career (onward to graduate studies for example), this is an excellent opportunity to get some recognition on your CV!
